We had such a fun time being Victorians for the day. Our teachers were very strict and we wrote on slates and we also played ring games.
On our St Francis De Sales feast day we enjoyed a celebration mass, we had a party lunch and made special book marks.
We loved our Forest school experience! We toasted marshmallows, made friendship bracelets and made mobiles using twigs, wool and leaves. We had so much fun!

We are settling in well to our new class and are having so much fun learning and making new friends.

This term our topic is Me and My World. We cannot wait to delve into our Narrative Immersion text Lost and Found. We are so excited to get started.
We have been learning lots of new mathematical skills in Year 1!
We have been learning to match number words with numerals, counting and sorting in Tens Frames and placing numbers to make a number line.
Welcome back to year 1! We have so many exciting things to learn this half term.
The Snail and the Whale
The world is your oyster! The snail has an itchy foot and wants to see the world. The children helped him find a solution to his problem.
We visited church to re-enact a baptism with Father Ged.
We also acted out a baptism in our role play area.
We have been learning how to use whole-part models for addition and partitioning numbers.
We have been learning some basic dance movements to music- we were fantastic at "galloping".
We really enjoyed our trip to Chester Zoo, it was so interesting learning about the different animal groups. Check out our pictures to see what a fun day we had !
Children in Need
The children have had a wonderful day raising money for Children in Need. We enjoyed making and eating our Pudsey biscuits. Thank you for your generous donations!
Hot and cold places.
In Geography we have been identifying hot and cold places in the world. We can find different continents on the globe.
After our visit to the zoo and looking at the artwork of Richard Symonds we have really enjoyed drawing and making animal sculptures using clay.We have included key features head, legs, tails and wings using various modelling tools.
Christmas Crafts and Party Day.
We really enjoyed our Christmas craft day. We loved making and eating our melting snowman biscuits. Don't forget to sprinkle your reindeer food on Christmas Eve !
